Welcome to our 2026 recces
In the run up to, and throughout, our season, we walk the routes to update our Routecards. Our team members are active across our Alpine, Scandinavian, UK and Irish routes in the months from March to September.

Alpine Exploratory
2026 in the Alps
Alpine Exploratory walks the Tour du Mont Blanc, the Adlerweg and the Jura Crest Trail earlier than the other Alpine trips, because these routes tend to hold less snow before Summer. We follow up with our higher Alpine routes in late June and early July.
2026 in Scandinavia
Alpine Exploratory recces its three Scandinavia routes through the Summer. As well as our visits, we are in touch with our local partners for on-the-ground information.
2026 in the UK and Ireland
The lower land of Alpine Exploratory's UK and Irish trails lets the team recce them in March and April. We spread out across the Scottish Highlands, English Lakes, the Pennines and Western Ireland. It's a rare year for snow to linger much into April, at least on our routes even if still on the peaks.
